Serralves Foundation Museum – Our favorite
The Museum of Contemporary Art of the Serralves Foundation is one of the most important cultural institutions in Portugal and a must for anyone interested in modern and contemporary art. The museum was designed by renowned Portuguese architect Álvaro Siza Vieira and is surrounded by the beautiful Serralves Park, a large green space filled with sculptures, gardens, and walking paths.
Inside the Serralves Museum you will find rotating exhibitions by international artists as well as works from the Serralves contemporary art collection. The visit can easily take several hours if you include the gardens and the iconic Art Deco Serralves Villa (temporary exhibitions ) located within the same complex.

Casa do Infante
Casa do Infante is one of the oldest buildings in Porto and an important historical site connected to the city’s medieval past. According to tradition, this was the birthplace of Prince Henry the Navigator, one of the key figures in the Portuguese Age of Discoveries.
Today the building houses a museum dedicated to the history of Porto, with archaeological remains, historical documents, maps, and exhibits that explain the city’s development from Roman times through the Middle Ages. Soares dos Reis National Museum
The Soares dos Reis National Museum is the oldest public museum in Portugal and one of the most important places to see Portuguese art in Porto. The museum is located in the former Carrancas Palace, an elegant neoclassical building surrounded by peaceful gardens.

Portuguese Centre of Photography – Porto Prison
