Primavera Sound Porto is one of the most important music festivals in Portugal and a key event in the European summer festival calendar. Held every June in the city of Porto, it is the Portuguese edition of the legendary Primavera Sound Festival, which originated in Barcelona in 2001.
Since its arrival in Porto in 2012, the festival has grown into a major cultural highlight, attracting tens of thousands of visitors from all over the world. It takes place in Parque da Cidade, the largest urban park in Portugal, a unique green space located next to the Atlantic Ocean.
What makes Primavera Sound Porto special is its carefully curated identity. Instead of focusing only on mainstream acts, the festival blends international headliners, indie legends, electronic pioneers, hip-hop artists, and emerging talent, all in one lineup. This creates a discovery-driven experience where new artists share the stage with global icons.

Over the years, the festival has hosted major names such as Kendrick Lamar, Rosalía, Blur, The Cure, Gorillaz, PJ Harvey, Massive Attack, and many more, reinforcing its reputation as one of Europe’s most respected festivals.
