Opened in 1935 and located in the prestigious neighborhood of Foz, the Tavi Restaurant and Bakery is a symbol of style and tradition in the area. The modern style decoration combined with objects and photos of yesteryear, will make you enter in connection with the past and with all the Portuguese generations that have visited it.
The restaurant is located on the second floor and has an “open kitchen“, so you can see in detail how the fine dishes are prepared. If you prefer to see the ocean, the terrace is the ideal place. As they open very early in the morning, you can go for breakfast, lunch or dinner.
The menu proposes the best of Portuguese seafood. We recommend trying the octopus carpaccio or the cod “pataniscas”. Of course, be sure to order what has made them famous: the pastries. They have different cakes such as “tacho”, “favo” or “jacarandá”, or the “torta de noz”. Be sure to try the “toucinho-do-ceu” or the well-known “bolo-rei”.
