The “escondidinho” (In Portuguese it means hidden in diminutive) is the typical restaurant of the north of Portugal, offering delicious food served with the best of care.
Portuguese tradition
The atmosphere seems similar to that of its opening date: in 1930, and reunites in a tiled wall everything we expect when we visit Portugal: a Portuguese house, abundant food and a family atmosphere. The interior reproduces the rooms of the 18th century mansions, and the owners are proud to maintain its traditional cuisine, without changes motivated by fashions. What to eat at O Escondidinho?
The best local fish, first class cod in various presentations, steaks with different sides and for the bravest, this is the ideal place (for quality and hygiene) to try the very famous “Tripas a moda do Porto”.
